Downloading Data

Overview:

Anyone can download data and setups from the dataset db, which has been uploaded by others *, the steps listed below will take you through the downloading process.

  • If the dataset is a pro dataset you will need an RST Pro Data Subscription which you can read about here.

Downloading Data:

a) Open RST, Select a Game from the dropdown menu, and then navigate to File > Uploaded Datasets

 

b) The dataset db browser will open showing data that's currently in the database. You can filter the results by selecting a search category (1), and entering a search term (2) then pressing enter or the magnifying glass (3).

 

c) If you would like to look at the details of a dataset, simply click on the row for that dataset, you will then be presented with the “Dataset Details Page” shown below:

 

d) To download the RST Data to view in RST, select the “Download Data” button. You will then need to select a location to save the file.

Note: if the Download Data and Download Setup buttons are disabled it means you are viewing a pro dataset and will need an active RST Data Subscription to download that dataset and setup. You can find ore information here.

 

e) After saving the data file, you can load the RST .Lap file by clicking the “Load” icon under Lap Options, and then selecting the .lap file you saved from the dataset db.

 

Downloading Setup:

a) Open RST, Select a Game from the dropdown menu, and then navigate to File > Uploaded Datasets

c) If you would like to look at the details of a dataset, simply click on the row for that dataset, you will then be presented with the “Dataset Details Page” shown below:

 

d) To download the setup, select the “Download Setup” button. You will then need to select a location to save the file to the location that your game setup directory.
